Player's Manual

Gameplay Controls

Control your ship using the thumbpad on the lower left of the game screen. Push up to fly forward, down to fly in reverse, and left or right to turn. Different ships fly differently, so experiement with the thumbpad and combinations of controls (down and left, for example) to see what happens.

Fire your weapons using the buttons at the bottom right of the game screen.

Fire your main weapons using the green button.

Fire your special weapons using the red button.

At the top of the game screen, you will see two bars (one green, the other red).

The green bar shows how much shield health you have left. If it runs out, then your ship will be vulnerable to damage for a short time.

The red bar shows your weapon energy. Each time you fire a weapon, you will drain a bit of this bar. Get low on weapon energy, and you will not be able to fire your weapons.

Both bars will slowly recharge over time.

Other Buttons:

Bring up the in-game menu. In Off-Line Arcade play, this will also pause the game.

Bring up the chat keyboard. This button only appears in On-Line play.

You can also find various powerups in the game. In Offline Arcade games, powerups will sometimes appear when you destroy drone ships. In Online games, powerups are generated by bouys, which you can find by following the yellow arrows at the edge of the screen.

Ship Types

There are several different ships you can choose from... each ship has its own unique capabilities.

VF-72 Viper
A well armored medium fighter. Its primary weapon is two focused plasma guns, and it is the one ship that can fire to the rear, with two more plasma guns as its special weapon.

FS-12 Comet
A light but manouverable figher. It has two forward plasma guns as its primary weapon, but packs a punch with its Spreadfire Cannon.

TB-13x Dragon
A heavy armored bomber. Its single rapid fire plasma gun can do decent damage, but the Dragon's Proximity Missiles make it deadly.

FX-32 Sidewinder
The fastest and most evasive ship in the game. This light fighter has less firepower than the other ships... two plasma guns and no special weapon, but learning the controls for this ship will give you the ability to strafe side to side and avoid enemy weapons better than any other ship.
